Hello all! I have one question...

hello all, i am very new here, just finding the site today. But i am very excited as this is all so new to me and i love learnign and tinkering. I wish i would have seen this forum 3 days ago as i just purchased a Kenwood KVT-717DVD and all the goodies such as XM radio, T.V. tuner. I already had a 10 disc DVD changer and 10 disc CD changer in the Suburban. I wish I would have seen this site and used my $1500 dollars toward a new carputer. Unless there is anyway to hook a carputer up to my kenwood?? It does have 2 audio/video inputs and a touch screen, but i don't know that the screen would control the carputer?? If anyone has any experience with this, please share. Thank you

i did try, but i don't know all the correct terminology to use. I tried Kenwood and got nothing relevant. If you want to give me a hint, i will be more than glad to use the search function again!

I saw that thread. at first I thought it was just for that model, but my head unit has the same inputs. unfortunatly I am not willing to hack up my head unit. if there was a way to just plug and play I would, I don't want to risk a brand new unit. i'll just fiberglass a 7 inch touch screen under my headunit and have 2!! whoo whoo
