multiple devices to only one RCA input

i searched, checked faqs and was unable to find an answer, although im sure this has already been discussed. cut me some slack, first post...

i have a pioneer avh 5700 in dash dvd unit, it has the 3 rca inputs (audio audio video) in the back of it, however i want to hook up my laptop, ipod video, and my ps2. i bought an abcd non-powered rca switchbox from radioshack but unfortunately the picture doesn't come up clear when i use the switchbox. what are you guys using to switch when using multiple devices?

    thanks for the help.

connect the output of the switch box to the dvd unit inputs. then hookup your ipod, ps2, laptop, etc to the a,b,c,d inputs of the switch box. Then press buttons!

Well, to tell you the truth, that particular switch isn't that high of quality.

I am using the avir-4 and does exactly what you are looking for. search ebay or the web. can be had for $80-$100

that avir 4 looks good, thank you.

the video would have lines across it when hooked up to the radio shack switchbox. when hooked up directly there would be no lines. the picture was noticeably of poorer quality.
