MB-890F Motherboard problem
I'm new to these forums, but have made a purchases from the shop. I live in Perth Western Australia. My problem is with a new MB890F motherboard with a pentium M1.7G . I have been using a VIA M 10000 up until recently with a CNX-P1260 supply, no problems except it was a bit slow for GPS using Oziexplorer. I upgraded the MB and started having problems getting it to boot.
I thought it might be the power supply although it only draws 3.5 Amps. I replaced it a CNX-P1900 same problem. The mobo will boot every time from a mains supply but not from the Carnetix. I've check the voltage is 19V which is spot on. I emailed IBT Technologies who say that they have heard of this problem and that a power supply of at least 3.5 amps is needed which both supplies meet. I would welcome any help. Seasons greetings to all.
