Thread: Remote PCI Cards?

Hey guys,

I'm new here, and I have a newbee question. Please bear with me.

What I want to do is create a very small ATX based computer. What I need is a cable that will plug into a PCI slot and allow me to plug a PCI card into it, some distance away (that distance doesn't need to be long, just enough to avoid the "L" shape the computers are stuck with currently). I've seen risers that allow 2 cards in one slot and change the direction 90 degrees, but that still creates thickness. What I'd like to do is house the PCI cards in a seperate case.

Any ideas?
