Nissan Altima

Ok. I might be gettign a nissan altima and looking into putting a car pc into it. I want to understand so things frist. This post is aimed at people who have an altima, but not limilted. ( I would have no way to limit anyway)

1. Does the nissan's radio have aux in to that i dont have to go hooking up all the audio stuff?

2. if i were to put a moniter i where would all the other dash compnents go?

1. depends, some early 03's had an option for it and i believe, dont quote me, some 02's... You have to buy an adapter for it though.
2. i dont understand what your saying....

what year are you looking at? Good luck, and post before you buy!

I own an Altima 05 w/o the Bose system and I know for fact it doesnt have an aux input. I am planning on Buying a HU with AUX input and, of course, the adapter for double DIN

marcoiks do u have a car pc and if you do how did you set up your screen. Im tryign to get ideas so i can have a clear picture when i get my car. (if i get it)

I don't have it setup yet, but I am going to use the compartment above the HU, with some fabrication (it will be a first time for me) it should almost look like the OEM navigation system. If you do a search for Nissan Altime you should be able to find someone who did it with an Altima 04, I think he's in CA it looked like a clean install.

The only difference with mine will be that I will try to keep the "door" so i can hide the screen, I am still on the planning stage but it shouldnt be that hard to do

theres a lot of ppl here with altimas, just search, theres actually a few threads active right now, not 05 or 06, but the 02-04 body styles...

yeah iv been looking at alot of them. i think some use different head units instead of the one that coems with it b/c it doesnt have aux in. This would be my first fabrication. i will probably end up screwing it up so im gonna do some test on random plastics to see how things turn out.

thsi is why im trying to squezz as much as i can into my head
