touch screen software wont uninstall or install

I just bought an Inovatek 8" touch screen that came with software called chilin. It would not install completely.I tried to uninstall and delete from the registry but when I try to reinstall it wants to unistall first then reinstall but it does not .Help

Try the unistall/install in safe mode to see if you able to do it.

What u need to do is go into device manager, choose the touchscreen device, click update driver, and manually point out the disk and driver on it. What's happening is windows sees it and installs a default windows driver. You think you see it installed but it's not. I fought with that ***** for a few days before I figured it out. Good luck.

Thanks tarpitblue , that would not work because I had allready deleted those files. I just reformated the harddrive ------it was time anyways. It actually loaded the first time and now works---- pretty slick.
