Talking First time posting..Heres my soon to be setup

Hey guys/gals, ive been browsing the site for a while now. and gonna be putting my system in soon. Heres what im thinking; Im going to use a Dell inspiron 8100 laptop as my computer, which im going to try to fit into the glove box. liliput 7" touchscreen, GPS. And thats about all I would need since the lap top has DVD and CD-R. I have to get a power supply as well. I will be hooking the sound to my Pioneer head unit through the AUX. i still dont know what Navi or front end software im going to run. Sow hat do you guys think of my plans? Any suggestions would really help. Thanks. BTW this is all gonna go into my 99 Honda Prelude.

I'm new also but I say go ahead and jump on in with what you got there. The only question I have for you is.....how are you going to handle turning the laptop on and off?

I was thinking about using my laptop and just decided to go ahead and invest a little more to build a basic mini-itx computer for in the car.

since the laptop is going to be in the glove compartment it wont be too bad to turn on or off. ill just turn the laptop on and put it in there and turn it off through the monitor. and i dont want to leave my whole system in there. i want something i can remove easily for security reasons.
