Bump.
Hi. I've been lurking around the posts for several months now trying to read up on everything before I start buying and posting. (still figured I should post in the 'Newbie' section...)
I drive a 2002 Grand Prix GTP (haven't found too many others on the forum) and I plan on putting the computer behind the dash. Used for: MP3, GPS, internet, ODBII, etc. what everyone else uses them for. Iwill be keeping the HU for the time being (dont know where I'll put it at the moment)
I've already bought a few components, but here is my plan:
Xenarc 700TSV (bought)
Pentium M 750 (bought) (planning to undervolt/underclock a little)
Hitachi Deskstar T7K250 (SATA) (bought)
Pioneer DVR-K05 slot load DVD-R/RW (bought)
Pentium M Mini-ITX mb
1GB DDR2 Ram
PS: M2-ATX or DSATX or DSX12VD
GPS: BU-355(serial) or Ublox solution (that jcdillin made)
wireless: Senao EMP-8602
ODB-II solution (need to do more research)
Griffin Powermate
external antenna (I'm thinking the 3-in-1, but need to do more research)
*maybe a non-power hungry ATI card (to get the native res)
*maybe the radioShark or device like Car Tuner V2.0
*maybe bluetooth (for cell phone internet connection, needs more research)
The one decision that's holding me up is the mobo/power supply. I have narrowed it down to the Commell LV-673, MB896F, Liantec ITX-6900, or Evalue EMB-9680
I was looking to use the DSATX, M2-ATX, or maybe DS12VD.
I think there should be enough power for the components; I've run through the different calculators and done my own calculations.
Are there any helpful thoughts or opinions out there?
Thanks.

FAQ: Will <insert PSU model> Power Supply work with my system?
It will help you determine what power supply you need. Realistically, I think either DSATX will power your system. The M2ATX is a maybe. But following the guide I posted above will help you to make a definite decision.
If you get an all-in-one DC-DC PSU (like the M2ATX or DSATX), you don't need the DSX12V. It's just a power regulator.
The motherboard is simply a matter of personal preference, I think. Compare chipsets and specifications, dimensions, features and the like.
Thanks for your reply.
Right that was one of the threads I read when checking out the power supplies.
I guess what I was asking for, but didn't state too well, if anyone knew anything more (than a spec sheet) for those mb's (I only saw a little bit of info on the LV-673 in a thread) and if one had features that were better than another (e.g. one has an LPT, while one has PCMCIA, or 4 vs. 2 SATA plugs, etc) And with that then what supply people like more. I have created a comparison spreadsheet for them.
As for the DSX12V, I thought I read that it was a better solution for the LV-673, which has a different 4 pin 12V power plug. (the DSATX proved difficult for a member to adapt) I was wrong; I thought that it was a power supply also.
