Advice on setup before I buy

Hi, ive done quite a bit of research but I want to get some advice before I start buying stuff.

Heres what I want to do:
    MP3s
    GPS Navigation
    WIFI
Store/watch a few movies on hard drive(not often)

    Maybe Later:
    Backup camera
    Basic ODBII or tuning(ls1edit?)

I saved a PC from being recycled, here are the specs:
    Mini tower
    p6vem3 ecs mobo
    VIA Ezra 734mhz
    30gb HD
    CD-ROM, floppy
    128 PC100 ram + 128 PC133 ram = 256mb (any issues having 100 & 133?)

    Not bad for free?

    More on the mobo:
    3 pci 2.2 slots
    4 usb 1.1 ports
    Onboard 64-bit 2D/3D video/graphics accelerator
    ACí97 Codec: VT1612A
    onboard ethernet
    ATX power supply connector
ACPI and previous PMU support, suspend switch
    specs1
    specs2

    My Plan:
    M2-ATX
    pci wifi
    usb gps mouse
    7" touchscreen

Running WinXP Pro tweaked, minlogon. Mobile Impact seems to run the fastest.

    QUESTIONS:
    1. So, should I be okay with this setup? In other words is usb 1.1 and this older chip going to be too slow/limiting for what I want to do?
    2. Could I get alot out of any cheap hardware upgrades? (like a pci video card, suggestions?)
    3. pc newb: i have cdrom as master, HD as slave. That okay?
    4. See any other issues/incompatibilites with my setup?

Im new to putting PCs together and I just dont want many surprises down the road so any input will be appreciated.

    Thanks for the help!

I have to say if you never put a pc togerther i get a book on it, though thats not realy the hard part if you know the basic rules. Now i been building my own for years and am self thought so i do some thing about them, but i am a newbee to the carputer too.
1: I say that you will be ok with the MB. If usb does not work well put in a usb2 card they are not much.
2: Your vid card thats built in, mite be ok, just know that built in ones use you ram so try to have as much as you can. On to the ram yes you can run 100mz and 133 mz ram toghter if the MB will do it. Most likely you have to set the jumper so that both run at 100. Even if you do not have to do that the 133mz will only run at 100mz. Get the manual for the MB that will tell you what it can and can not do.
3: Yes you can have the cd rom as master and hard drive as slave.

Thanks for the info, that clears up a few things. I have the video card set to use as much ram as possible(64mbs). I guess I need to test it out and play some movies. Did not think of a usb 2.0 card, ill research that.
