    Golf mk4 v5 install

hi everyone, just would like to start off by saying hello. right, im totally new to car computers and i been reading up on alot of this but i'm kinda affaid on actually ripping out my dash and puting a screen inside it. im not worried about the PC as such as thats very easy to do...

my problem is i want a flush kinda OEM leather/plastic look firstly (not the cheap smooth fiberglass look) and also i hear alot of people having problems with the brightness of touch screen monitors, also im not sure on which monitor to choose but ideally i would like a 7" screen to fit nicely into a space of 7.5" x 4.6"

There are a lot of Mk4 installs around here.
Touch screen are the way there are...Only thing you could do about reducing glare is to reces it somehow.
The golf dash is pretty easy to work on.

He he...very easy to do (so he thinks )...it's like building a house. Regular computer stuff is easy, mobile computing is not as straight-forward. It's definintely not hard, but there sure are lots of decisions and tweaks to get it running perfectly...

Welcom to the fold. There are lots of mk4 installs on here. I've got a mk2 Jetta, and should have my install almost complete within about a month...still a relative n00b. At least to the point of being able to use it in my car!

if you are really worried about fabrication, why don't you post where you are from and find a fabricator from this website. there is a ton of talent and experience here doing exactly what you are looking for.

Yes well, as hard or easy as it may seem, its a pretty logical process in my mindset and considering the amount of hardware out there to make an install easier, hence the reason i call it easy because it really is. anyway, nice install greenbeast, lookin forward on doing my install.

Search for someone named Chris (I think). He's done Stevieg's bezel, and turned out great.
