I just got a 2003 camry so im not sure where constant 12v id but theres always one behind the radio and at the ignition. Just look up a car alarm install diagrams that tell u the colors for your 2002 camry
I am new to this and need help. I have a Toyota Camry 2002 and am installing an access control device that needs 9 to 12 volts and 300 milli-amps, even when the car is off. I am mounting the device near the fuse box of my car and would like to splice into existing wiring for power.
I have found the factory repair manuals (http://oregonstate.edu/~tongt/camry/index.html), but am having trouble making sense of them.
Does anyone know of what wires I can/should attach to in a 2002 Toyota Camry that will provide always on power?
Thank you!
Joe

Well, if you're installing something right near the fuse block, taking power from somewhere else (like the headunit) would probably be more of a pain then what it's worth.
Looking at your fuse block:
http://oregonstate.edu/~tongt/camry/68_Wiring.pdf
on page 4, you can see the layout of all your fuses and what they're used for. The first thing to check for, would be if there is a place for a spare fuse. If not, it's possible to tap into an existing one. After you find a spare fuse/one that you can work with, check to see that the fuse still has power when the car is completly off. If yes, then use this. If not, then find one that does.
Also, if you do find a place for a spare fuse, put in a 1 amp fuse, or something similar. If you have to tap into an existing fuse, try and use one that's small (like 5 amps, as opposed to 30)
