Does anybody know if its possible to use the mach 1000 system?
After I got word of this site from a friend, I have been eager to put a carputer in my own car. I currently have a Mustang GT 03 with the mach 1000 sound system. I have confered with my friend about planning out what I want to do with my carputer.
I am compiling a list of parts currently but I want to make sure of something before I start. If I was going to hook the carputer to the mach 1000 system without the headunit, would that be possible?
I have seen this thread:
help with mustang mach 1000 system
but I really am not a car audio guy at all so I don't really know if that would be possible. Any ideas?

you might be better of posting in the CAR AUDIO forum...
generally, integrating to a stock system in more of a headache than I can think would be worth it, for me at least.
but....that thread answers your question, yes it's possible, do what pancit175 said, or are you saying that you don't understand what he's saying to do?

Well I can take the headache of integrating with my stock system because I have a limited budget, so replaceing everything is out of the question. I have looked at what pancit175 had said, but I dont understand any of it. Mostly because I have never done anything with car audio in my life. I am kinda just asking for a walkthrough of what parts I would need to hook up some kinda of card to my stock system. Anything would be helpful because the 2 other guys that I am doing the project with, would rather just replace my sound system. Thanks.
ok - so search
that's the only way you're going to find out
people generally don't like to spoon feed on this board.
google search the parts he's talking about
if you're going to be getting into this thing, you might want to learn a bit about it first.
gee, google 70-5700 and you come up with this: http://www.audiooutfitter.com/store/70-5700.html
google psi2 converter and the second reponse (under the mp3car.com thread) is this: http://www.installedge.com/support/p...ECPSI2_MAN.pdf
pretty simple, now all you have to do is learn.
and if you're not willing to do that, then I wouldn't even attempt this install honnestly.
not trying to be rude, just trying to tell you how it is. Sorry, I don't fluff things.![]()
