    Still needing help!!!

Okay, I am still needing help with a problem I am having. I have a HP N5415 with a cyberblade xp video chip in it and it has TVout ability. What my problem is, that I can't get it to boot up straight to video mode. I looked into my bios and there was not a way that way to do it, but what I am wondering is, there is an icon in the start up tray for the ability to switch it to TV mode. I have been trying to make a button on the one-touch buttons to switch it, but am having trouble finding out how to active the TV. The program that is running is call the trident TV utility. In this program lies the ability to excute the TV out command. Does anyone know how to crack the program to find out how to excute the command on a one-touch button?? Thanks for any help possible

AutoIt is a functional utility that I think will let you accomplish what you want. With it you should be able to make your computer go into tv-out mode with a single shortcut, which you could put into your Startup. I don't know about the 'one touch' buttons because I don't know what they are, but maybe this will get you far enough.

okay I have been playing with this for pretty much all day and I have not been able to get it to do what I need it to do. If someone could give me some help, I would greatly appreciate it. I think the script command I am needing is "tdisp" but I am not sure. If any one has ANY input to how I need to script this please feel free to help out. Thanks

You sure you can't set hot keys of any sort with the Trident program?

I am not sure what you mean by hot keys, but I have not been able to find the script that switches to TVout mode. I would love to be able to set up a button on the keyboard (the "one-touch" buttons on the top (ex: mail, WWW, etc) of the keyboard) but I can only find the .exe to put the TV utility in the system tray.

In the driver software for ATI (and probably nVidia too) graphics, you can set a hotkey which will activate a setting. In other words, I would push Ctrl + Alt + T and my TV output would be enabled. I was asking if you noticed anything like that in your Trident config utility. Look around and see what's available. I wouldn't be surprised if it's not there, though, because I can't imagine the Trident utility being very robust.
