    Running wires

Ok, i have and but i couldnt find what i was lookin for. When people say take wires directly from the battery, does that mean literally run a wire from the actual physical battery or do you tap into some other wealth of power or wat? I have read that if i plan on using an amp and a carputer, using a distribution block is the way to go. Question two is if i went to a car audio shop and told them to run 4 guage wire to a distrubution block and then set up my sub and amp for me, i could then tap into that distribution block to power my car pc?

sry for repeat asks if it has been asked before, but i couldnt find it

The distro block is just a mechanical / electrical connector.

As long as your wire gauges are similiar on both sides of the block, I do not see how different that would be from running a single physical wire direct to the battery.

What the caution is for are those who try to "tap" power via the radio or cigarette lighter, etc which may be fused for a lower rating and have much thinner power wires.

To answer your question, yes. I recently had an amp put in to my car at a local car audio place. They had an installation special for just $1, can't beat that. I simply bought a distro block, fuses, and the needed wiring for them to run the amp off the newly installed distro block. The second port is used to power the carPC.
