So I got the Mechatroniks DIY Bezel Kit a couple of days ago, and today got my 7".

Like a kid in a candy store... went to work on it. Was a bit nervous, but since it was a newer model screen, the only soldering I had to do was molex for the power supply.

as I'm looking at it, I think I'm going to desolder, raise, and resolder the connector for the video inputs. May not do this till I have everything running, but should be easy enough.

So now I have my bed. The bezel, with the monitor sitting in it.

Can't wait till I get my mobo and mem... any day I hope, so I can start on the OS and the front end. I think I'll start out with a 30 gigger that I have laying around, and then just move all the data over to the 200 gig or so I plan on having.
