Ok, Well i have started the buying stage.
So far I have
Motorized 7 inch touch screen monitor
Micro ATX Motherboard with
20 Gig HD
(just got this tonight)Detachable face cd player (AUX InPut), cd changer controls (im thinking of leaving the stock cd changer).
dash kit
Still need
M2-ATX 160W Intelligent DC-DC PSU (enough power?)
slim usb cd/dvd rom
usb hub
sound card with rca out (this will run to the AUX InPut on the cd player)
your basic cords to run the length.
1 10 inch sub
1 sub amp
here is my plan and will this work ok. any and all input would be helpful
Also i have a question about the slim cd/dvd rom.
if i purchase this rom from here
and this external case from ebay,
found from this this guy here
would i be ok?

i just want to make sure before i spend more money. all my wife has been hearing is how much money i have spent so far.

Sounds like a good plan, the case and DVD drive seem good.
As for the audio out from the carputer to the HU you can just use a headphone to RCA adapter mp3car sells one and you can find many on ebay and other computer/audio sites. Its cheaper and much easier to install than trying to find an RCA sound card.

I use an headphone to RCA converter, get great quality and have not had a problem yet.
but thats just my opinion

Or you can go to any surplus store or Radio Shack and get it for $4 and no shipping...
