Installing a Pioneer AVIC-Z1 onto an '04 Chevy Silverado

I know the Pioneer AVIC-Z1 is a double-din touch-screen headunit. I was just wondering if there is a way to install the AVIC-Z1 onto an '04 Chevy Silverado?

Sure there is. It's not any different than installing one in any other vehicle.

Understand that the focus of these forums is on putting a PC into a car rather than a unit like the AVIC. AS a result, there's not a lot of people here who have experience with one.
There are other forums (car audio forums, notably) where the members are likely to be more knowledgable about what you want to accomplish....

But a few pointers if you do actually look back at this post. Your experience will vary depending on if you want to keep OnStar, and if you have the BOSE system. You'll need specific adapters to keep those working and/or interface with them.

The install is somewhat involved, and you have to find specific wires for the navigation to work correctly. If you have little to no experience installing just a standard headunit, you may want to find someone more experienced to help you out or do it for you.
