I don't know about the unit, but the seller is trusty. I bought my screen from his company, so don't worry about being ripped off.

That PC isn't anything you couldn't build yourself for less money. The primary appeal of those in-dash PCs is the in-dash part. The components are all available form the store here or from other vendors, aside from the single-DIN case and the buttons with their functionality.
I'm not saying it's a bad deal or won't work or anything even close.

If you're the type that would rather build your own, then I'd suggest speccing out components and going for it. If building PCs isn't your bag, then this will suit you just fine.

Just make sure what is the deep of the unit and the deep of or car. You don't want 2 inch of the PC stick out of the dash. Good thing is they come with "right" angle adapter so that can reduce quite a bit of deep requirement.

so, if you remove the XP option, it comes out to be $625 USD...that's not too too bad I wouldn't think...or am I missing something?

I would say building the thing like this is _very_ costly. So you will not gain anything if you get the prebuilt one. So if you like it, go get it. The spec is pretty good for its price.
