noob question...

ok ppl u guys have been a great help so far in my journey into carputers now i need some more advice... now i bought my case Aopen G325. thats going to go into the trunk... now what i need to know is, is it possible to mount the case in the back and have the lcd panel control Nikao lcd panel control in the front along with a 4 port usb hub and the blue tooth usb hub? also wondering about shut down controllers i have read posts but still dont really understand if is hould install one or not... also will extra fans outside the case help with overheating... and since the wires and all are short is there a place where i can get extended wires to run from the trunk to the front of the car... if u guys have better solutions please let me know that would help me a lot thanks again!

Yes, it's possible.
However, the brand and model of screen isn't one that's recognized. I doubt it has a VGA input, as the members here know nearly every VGA-input screen out there. As such, you're going to have to feed TV-out to the screen, which will likely produce poor display quality.
Also, you mentioned control. Is this a touchscreen? If it is, it's not going to control your computer without some significant re-engineering and driver coding.

Do you want the computer to come on when you turn the key? If so, you need a shutdown controller of some sort.

Fans will help keep it cool, yes. Make your own extension wires.

You've mentioned nothing about power. How do you intend to power the PC? That's a pretty significant consideration.
And the make/model of vehicle doesn't matter much.

Yes, I belive a majority of the capPC community does it this way. I simply ran the correct gauge wires, VGA cable, USB cable, and any other connection from my PC to all of my devices up front.

2. Start up / Shut down controls.

The Opus PSU and start up controllers work off a 12V power lead which can be found on the ACC side of yo key switch. When I turn my key on the PC boots. When I turn the key off the PC shuts down. The Opus PSU acts like the "power button" if you will and does a correct boot up and shut down.

3. Will extra fans outside the case help in cooling.

Extra fans can't hurt. Although I have my PC stuffed in the spare tire area of my trunk with no external fans I am running fine in 90+ temps.

actually my screen is VGA it has the computer end to it... and thats hooked up to a thing that splits the connection into 4...

as for power im going to be using a 800 watt power inverter... and yes i want the computer to come on when i turn the screen off and turn off when i turn the key off.. i cant fit the comp in the back there is no room lol.. do u guys have pics of some of the running wire... just to get an idea ... thanks again guys!
