noob question (an easy one I think)

i thought i would find what i needed to know by

but with no luck.
I have bought a pc low spec 800mhz celeron, 256 meg ram.
I only realy want it for dvd, music the power supply i have taken out is 90w i have got rid of my floppy and intend to change the cd-rom for a laptop dvd-rom to ide converter to usb would the m1-atx do the job for this (i know its 90w) would this be ok,

My screen draws its power from the car so dont need to supply it from pc

Also how far can you run a vga cable before it effects the screen??

A VGA cable can be run about 25' without too much distortion in my experience, but that is inside where there is a much less harsh environment due to random interference.

In a car, maybe only like 10'-15' if you run it by other wires.

Yes the M1 should be ok. But for the price difference why not the M2? Upgradeable!

M1 will power the 800 P3 and a laptop dvd rom drivre and a 3.5" hdd just fine.

where's the best place to get parts for carputer in the uk
