Trim bondo or filler while it not completely dry. then sand the area with 80 grit paper.
can you link me to where you got your external and which one it is?

Here is what I’m thinking about pc in my 03 accord:
I want to install 7" touch screen in the lower storage bin by modifying the OEM one - I want to keep the functionality to open/close. Here is a link to a similar setup FS: 05 Honda Accord Compartment Lilliput Fiberglass Mold . I hope there will be room underneath the LCD for a slot-load dvd-reader.
I'm shopping for a touch screen right now…
As far as PC I’m thinking of a laptop underneath pas. seat. I want to create a module which will automatically turn the laptop on, when the car starts and I want to make it hibernate when car is off (using the laptop battery).
Audio will go to OEM stereo via aux in.

Hopefully I will have enough free time and funds to finish this project before winter…

Hmmm... I think you might be a lil hard pressed to get a dvd/cd drive under the screen area if its that type of set up...
You could always set one up in the center console area. There's lots of room within that compartment

My initial plan was to go with a laptop too but after reading countless threads I came to the conclusion that desktop would be a better choice. Plus there are pre-build auto startup/shut down option available for desktop and thats VERY important for me.
