Yeah, it should power with no ram, just beep at you.
CD-Rom hooked to the second IDE controller is fine.
Got my M10000, M1-ATX and Hard drive all set up. However, I messed up and bought 200pin RAM instead of 184pin so am waiting to get the proper one delivered.
I've set everything else up but I don't seem to be getting any power from the m1. Is this just because there's no RAM in the motherboard or should the motherboard power up anyway?
Also another question, I'll need to attach a CD-ROM drive to the system to load XP...do i just get use the secondry IDE port on the motherboard?
Sorry if these questions have obvious answers to some of you
Bugger, still can't get a beep or the fan to spin. Time to take it all apart and try again!
