Hii..
I have been reading alot on the forums to find a power supply, or whats it called, but i cant find out which one i need, there are so many..
So would some be kind to tell me which one i need, and give me a link for it..
What i whant it to do is as follows..
I have a carpc, the small one, fanless, and have a boot time for 15 seconds, after the power is on..
I whant some powersupply, that give steady 12V, for my screen( well i have send to Hong-Kong now, since it whent black screen after few minuttes)
And when the car have started, i whant the whole system to power up, and start, like a regular home PC.
Allso, when i turn of the car, the computer should lock down automaticly, if possible..( at the moment i can turn off enigine, but cant take key out, before the windows is down, and then i can close for the screen, and lock it down(indash) and then i can take the key out for ignition..
Pheww..
So what do i need to make this run probelly, i would like a link, and if possible some drawings of it to build it up..
Totally newbie, what comes to carpc..
Maybe there are links for this, but i cant find em, and thoose i found are confusing me..
I would really preciate ur time for helping me out

Well thx for replying, i was on that site, and have read it, but it dident get me closer to which DC-DC i need, so i was looking for someone to tell me, u need this one, so i can order it..
I have this carpc http://www.cartft.com/catalog/il/365 but it works greate whit nothing to add, just the ignition and the 12V, and ground, from the old radio, that was there before..
But when it comes to the screen, i am lost...
So do i need this http://store.mp3car.com/ProductDetai...Code=PWR%2D021
and this .?
http://store.mp3car.com/ProductDetai...Code=PWR%2D009
or simply just one of them.?
Since that barebones computer you linked to doesn't say ANYTHING about the power supply, except that it has one, it is impossible to know.
If you get more information about the built in power supply, then POSSIBLY someone can help you, or better yet, you can help yourself, since you will then know what voltages the supply has, and how it works, and better yet, if it is even REALLY a good unit for the car. Many All In One units have power supplies that are NOT good for the car, even though they CLAIM they are.

Well it is just for the screen then, since the computer works just find and boot up as it should.
First of all, how do you know. Did you install the unit in a car? Did you try it while the car is being started, and while running, and while driving. Next, almost EVERY MB requires 12 volts. That means that the unit has 12 volts for your screen if you want to take it from there. The question then is, will that overload the PS. With out more information, no one can know.
Second, the screen should come with a plug for a cigarrette lighter, no need to use the carputers PS. Just plug it in, or cut off the ends and wire it directly to a power source in your car.

yes i have installed it, and it works, its just the screen, it whent black after some minuttes, so either it is fu... up, or lack of power, Darque said i need steady 12V.
Thats why i have returned it to Lilliput in Hong-Kong..
And the screen dont get power from the PC, just the old wires from the other carradio that was there..
AGAIN, you PROBABLY HAVE 12 volts in the carputer from the built in power supply. You can PROBABLY use it, but with out knowing more information, no one can say for sure. If you want to supply it not from the carputers 12v, then you can buy either of those, though they are expensive for what you need.
You can use a lm7812, or almost any 12v voltage regulator. Screens draw less then 1 amp, so you should have no problem with that. They cost MAYBE 5 dollars in parts. Also, a voltage regulator should come with the lilliput.
