    new to audio

    Ive got a 95 trans am id like to hook up. Id like to get a touch screen lcd nav system, something that looks clean. i dont mind hacking into old computers and using their components. where should i start?

    start reading & researching, there are literally hundreds of different ways to approach this, & in order for you to decide whats right for you, you'll need to do research to know what your options are, & the benifits & drawbacks of each approach, combined with the abilities & resources available to you...

    I'm not implying you need to become an expert to know what to do, but you do need quite a bit of knowledge, & the more knowledge you get before diving in, the better your aplication will be....

    Head over the the FAQ Emporium. Or, click the link in my signature, which takes you to a FAQ to the FAQ's. It has a section for newbies, including links on how to get up to speed quickly.

    Then, make sure you peruse the FAQ Emporium thread titles to see if there are other ones that might help you out.

    I'd recomend starting in the areas where people have spent hours to lay out the basics for individuals just like your self.
