Well, not without cracking open the unit, voiding the warranty, reverse-engineering the touch controller and writing your own drivers (if needed).

i just want to do this so i can use it when the pc is off.
i guess this also goes for other models or is their certain headunits that allow this.
No headunit "allows" it. You have to hack it to make it work.
And it's one or the other. If you hack it to work witht eh PC, it will only work w/ the PC. If you leave it alone, you'll only have control of the headunit.
I am converting my kenwood 7015 to work with the computer. It will cost me about $200 in parts but the wiring looks pretty simple.

This is where I got my info from. If you're serious about doing it this will get you started on what you need. good luck.
Just remember that while you will be able to control your computer from one central location that the video monitors used in head units are video, not VGA. You'll have control over a fuzzy image. Big text and graphics good, small text and detailed graphics bad.

Ya know... It's a lot easier to follow links if you use the URL tag instead of the CODE tag. Just FYI.
Also, you can just paste the link into your post, and it will automagically become a hyperlink. More FYI.
As far as that monitor goes, it is a Lilliput model and is for sale in the mp3car.com store as well as at Digital WorldWide.
