yea i have a lot of space under the rear seats, but its going to be filled with 2amps, and a sub & box. so most of that is gone. although i have a ton of room under the front seats too.

yea i am not totaly sure what i am going to do as far as the processor is concerned, i have priced out both options, and the note book Core 2 Duo (merom) is actually more expensive. i am not too concerned about the stock alternater, i am more concerned about the rest of everything drawing from the system. the PC & two amps. so i am trying to us less power for the pc. we'll see, i am still reserching it. i am going to get the speakers first, hopefully for christmas, and then i will go from there.

Hey gl on your install. I'm a ram owner too, and also from Sacramento. Maybe when you're done I can check it out.

they acctually offer a DVD Navigation system with the this years Dodge ram 1500, so there is a dash kit that fits the stocker. i would like to go that route, but i would like to get the basics in my truck first, and then do a in-dash touchscreen. the flipouts are cheaper and an easier install than trying to takle a flush mount touchscreen. i am hoping to get some parts in this winter, and get the pc thrown together and working, and install the speakers & amps. then this summer maybe do the flush touchscreen. i will probably buy the dash kit for the DVD navigation stock system, and work up from there.

    UPDATE:

Well i have actually got around to buying some parts. here is a list of what i have compiled so far:

    Computer:
    http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16856101033
I put a Core Duo in it,

    1 gb dual channel ram
    250 gb hard drive
    MS XP pro
I plan on using StreetDeck, for my front end. I also plan on using the Carnetix P2140 to power the audio processor, touch screen and computer.

    Audio Processor:
Audiobahn ADD51T from WoofersEtc.com. they don't have it there any more or i would link it.

    Touch Screen:
I got this one, it one of the best brightness and contrast ratios for the price.

I have yet to buy any audio equipment. i plan on doing jl audio componet speakers in the doors and a mild 8" sub under the rear seat. all of it is to be powered by an Infinity Refernece 5 Channel Amp. 99% of the music i listen to is Rock so i don't need something real bassy (not sure if that is even a word), just something to give it a little thump.

    and just because its funny

*Edit* I just recieved my JL audio componets. now i am looking for some dynamat and i will be able to install it, YEA!
