Thumbs up carputer in 2001 Audi a4

Ok guys i did some researched here after i posted about an ecplise motorized navi system and i realized that it was extremely obsolete. This car computer thing is unbelieveable. SO here is what i decided. after hours of researched and ?s. i decided to go with this:

    Aopen Pandora MiniPC MP945-VX Multi
    512 mb Ram
    1.ghz
    60gig HDD
Mp3car MTSVO-SC Fully motorized VGA Touch Screen

WHat do you think. Good setup or should i try something else.
And does anyone have any good ideas as to install this in the glovebox or the trunk. i am open to suggestions. Thanks Guys

the setup is good especially because its all done for you..

if you opt to go for the celeron one... dont!
i assume you are getting it all from mp3car site?.. you will obviously need a powersupply for it (carnetix or simmilar)... put it under the seat if you can.. its more permanent, and you dont loose the glovebox... trunk is too far for your high speed USB devices like DVD burners....

You obviously want something small.. look around for MiniITX boards and get a decent processor, possibly dual core.. get whatever case you can find that fits the dimensions of where you want to put the thing...and for screen... if you want it readable during bright days... save up and get a transflective screen.... i am NOT looking forward to summer.. can hardly see my screen is on..

Sounds good. Does anyone have a place they trust and like to buy carputer parts from. Should i not go with the prebuilt one from mp3. Should i buy parts from different places then install I have experience (intermediate.advanced computer hardware knowledge but not software. Under the seat sounds good. but if i remember there is not alot of space down there. my car is in the shop until tomorrow so i dont know the exact measurements. I got most of my parts off of here/mp3car store/ebay. read, search, read, search, and read some more. I've got my entire set up behind where the factory head unit went (save the hard drive). After you've used it for a long trip or two you'll wonder how you went as long as you did without one.

you replaced the whole radio. I cannot find that transflective screen anywhere.

What about my two new amps and subs and the original bose speakers?

i was lucky....no bose set up. replaced everything in the car. HLCD's up front, 6 1/2's to work with them and a single (total overkill) Infinity perfect 12, pushed by a 6ch ppi. carputer replaced everything (and i never looked back). 7" lilli modded into the space where the headunit/ac controls used to be.

Given that his car is a 98 A4, I assume that he moved his A/C controls into the cubby hole below the center console wrapped in a custom bezel.

I am currently installing the In-Dash Fully motorized screen from mp3car, and a mp3car custom car computer (c134) with 40GB, 1GHz VIA, 512MB, and the M1 ATX 90W Power Supply. Everything runs smooth, and the screen looks good as well.
I have a 98 A4. If your speakers are not amplified, you can just plug your sound card to an amp and from the amp to the harness or speakers. It is my first install, so I am still a noob , but i can help you out with whatever i know.
    Good luck
