    general cpu question

    ok, so contrary to what i always beleived, it is not necasary for my case to be made of metal? the mobo mounting screws DO NOT could screw into a rubber standoff conected to a plexi backing?

    No, it's not necessary at all.
    I've seen PC cases made out of plexiglass, acrylic, wood, cardboard and PVC, in addition to steel and aluminum.

    And quit crossposting. It's completely unnecessary.
