    Setup with an Mac Mini

I am new to this and was looking aroudn the forums but I don't see my answer. But here's what I was thinking of doing. I want to setup a touch screen LCD in my 04 RSX. I also want to put in a Mac Mini but also have my speakers wired to the Mac Mini. Woudl this be at all possible?

you cannot wire your speakers directly to the mac mini, you have to use an amp to power your speakers.

otherwise, what you're wanting to do is exactly what this forum is dedicated to.

    welcome btw!

Thansk for the welcome. Actually what you said makes perfect sense. I have been eyeing a project liek this for awhile now but never could see how the speakers would attach.

So actually then too, couldn't I use something like this to hook up the speakers?

I was thinking I could even go another setup instead of a Mac Mini and use a soudn card that has 6 channels out and hook it into something like on the link there to get a full 6 speaker setup. And along adding amps between this DSP and the speakers at some point.

    I hope that makes sense.

you cannot directly connect the speakers to the computer...they have to get power in some way. They get their power from an amplifier, not from a DSP.
