Thread: Need help with VW GTI

So I've been on this forum for a lil while and been trying to absorb all this knowledge on here. So now, I think I finally wanna do a car pc in my VW. Hopefully someone can help me with these questions.

The car is a MKIV GTI WITH the monsoon system. Here's what I wanna do:

I want to install a car pc with a 7" monitor. I want the monitor in the dash where the radio is now. I do not want to do an entire system in my car, I'm happy with the audio quality as it is. My questions are; can I play the radio through the car pc, and how does this work since my radio will be gone? Do I have to keep A headunit in my car then, and does it have to be or can it be my stock one? I want to be able to listen to the radio, and have access to my mp3's to, and maybe even do GPS.
