Hey all, I stumbled upon this link, and while it seems to be directed at the programming community, i think it has alot of relevance to some of the issues I see with certain users here.

Just a good read and a thought provoking way on how to ask your questions to get better answers from the more experienced members... likewise for members to deal with repeat questions and repeat offenders in a better way.

For those on the receiving end of sometimes lazy inundations, scroll toward the bottom of that document for "How to answer questions in a helpful way" for some good stuff on dealing with it.

Again, various bits of this are covered in our own stickies, but I thought it was worth submission for those that aren't.

Trouble is, most of the time the stupid questions (reptitive) questions come from people who can't be bothered to read all the results or posts from a thread they have searched for (assuming they searched in the first place) so what makes you thing they will be bothered to read through all that
