00 Chevy Impala carpc

ok so I know im new to this forum... I have been searching google for carpc stuff but if someone more experienced could help me and save me time I would greatly appreciate it.

Basically I am trying to put together:

Full din touchscreen because I have an in dash motorized single din right now but the way impalas are made it hits the dash and it sits at an angle and you cant see it!

I am in love with http://www.gnetcanada.com/ but I am inexperienced and there might be better things out there.

Does anyone know of a place that will custom wit a monitor in a chevy impala?

I have a huge trunk so thats probably where the pc will go.
I would like to have gps
sirius with the cool software I have seen
the carpc must be able to use a wifi card like the sprint card for example so I can use the internet while im out on a trip or something.
the OBDII
would be nice to have a cd changer or something so I dont have to pop the trunk to load a cd everytime??
a multi card reader
I would like to be able to install 2 amps and a few subs as well as possibly a ps3 and/or xbox360 and have enough power to run all this stuff...
possibly tvs in my headrest that would be compatible with this system?
rear back up camera to replace my trunk lock
etc etc

anyways please help I want to do this the right way...

You hand-on or you want a ready made solution as in your link? If you're hands-on, read through this Attention Newbies! A FAQ to the FAQs then post a picture of your dash in the fabrication forum and solicit suggestions. If you get something ready-made (no fun in that), you should get support from whom you buy it from so as to not void warranties and such.

So what will it be..

I am going to do the hands on approach.
I am not good at all this wiring and install stuff BUT I have a friend who is. He used to install for a very well known shop in my area. Although he did typical stereo stuff its really all the same.

my question is... if I mount the carpc in the trunk is there a way to mount the dvdrom somewhere in the car or do I have to pull over everytime I want to switch cd/dvd?

Nope, u can use a USB extension cable (up to 16 ft.) to hook-up your CD/DVD drive anywhere up front. You would also have to get a USB adapter or enclosure for you cd/dvd drive.
