I currently have an '04 Accord with all the gear required to install a 6 disc changer below the HVAC controls in my car. http://ca.geocities.com/5555@rogers.com/Honda6.htm This was a dealer installed option that came with my car that (at the time) I didn't want installed and I tried to sell.

Well I couldn't sell the stuff and now I'm considering installing a GPS/DVD player in the location below the HVAC controls and forgetting about the cd changer. The kit came with all the mounting brackets and cables to connect to the stock head unit and I was wondering how hard it would be to install a double DIN sized unit now that I have most of the bits and pieces.

I've seen a couple of threads here and it looks like the standard double DIN is a little narrower than the opening... could be wrong on that one. I traced the opening size for reference and it is, 3-15/16 x 7-7/16"

Any advice on makes, models and installation would be appreciated.
