I'm Barry, been involved with PC's for too many years, and now an ATM tech. Drive a Holden Jackaroo (Izuzu Trooper to those in the US of A).
Recently puchased an 8" Touchscreen from eBay, which I'm now in the process of working out how to fit it so it can be easily removed when not in use. Currently running a Toshiba 1800 Laptop with WinXP, OziExplorer and MapMonkey.
I've attached a photo of the temp setup. Don't know the brand of LCD as it has no badge or stickers.
Will be sitting on the sidelines learning for awhile as fixing PC's & ATM's is completely different to installing one into a vehicle.

I've just accidentally hit thread... Don't know it's still relevant, but 2 years ago I had similar problems (I own a short version - 3 doors Isuzu trooper, and the seat near the driver is moving all the way to the front under the dashboard to let the passengers get into the back seat, so I had a lot of problems deciding where and how to mount the screen and car-pc (based on VIA board and cpu).
I published a gallery in the Israeli offroad JeepTrip forum, in Hebrew - but I believe you can get the ideas from the photos or ask me for more details.
