installing verhead console w/compass help

hi i have an overhead console from a minivan that has digital clock/compass and i want to install it into my 1983 camaro, the console was made in 86. i hav no idea how to wire it. if anyone can help thanx

Im sure all you have to do is figure out which wires power it and you will be in business. if you are just wanting it for the compass and clock, why put a bulky minivan "verhead" console in your camaro, why not just gut out the display and wiring and install it somewhere else?

A multimeter may be your best friend in this situation.

I like the idea of the relocating the compass idea but I am also fabbing a minivan O/H console in my summit. Why? Because I can for one and I think it looks really cool in there, kind of cockpit like if you get my meaning. PLus that console can hold a crapload of electronic hardware and I know for a fact those Camaros have very little extra space floating around.
