    Question Fair price

I got a friend who is selling the following for $250. Is it worth it?

    • Via EPIA-MII Mini ITX motherboard with 1ghz processor: VIA Technologies, Inc..
    • Seagate Momentus 60gb laptop hard drive, 5400 rpm.
    • 2 laptop to IDE hard drive adaptors.
    • 1gb generic ram installed on mother board. DDR266, with heatsink.
The Mini ITX VIA EPIA MII 10000 Mini-ITX Motherboard 1GHZ goes for about $130 but does the rest add up?

    60Gb about $50 - $70 depending on cache
Adaptors, $3 each $5 shipping for both, so $11 total
1Gb of generic DDR266 is about $50 - $70 depending on where you get it. Some eBay auctions can be had for $50, while BIN eBay is closer to $70.

So if it new, then you come out about the same as you would if you bought them seperately and got them shipped to you. If they are used, could still be a deal, but not a great one. With a little patience on eBay you can get yourself the same thing new for the same price.
