    What sould I buy?

Im kind of getting the carputer deal but I just want to clear up some questions. I have a 1986 Rx7 and I have a rockford setup( 1 P450-4, 2 P600.1, 4 P2D412, 4 6 1/2 but still not in the car) I was wondering can I just not get a head unit and put a 7 in touchscreen in the dash and connect the motherboard to a crossover and to the amps. And do I just connect everything like a regular computer im kind of lost because I cant get an image in my head how to connect everything. Im sorry for sounding like a bad newbie but just want to get everything clear before I buy. Ohh I read something about using an old laptop I do have an Inspiron 6400 that I could chop up if its useful, Please help!! And thanks in advance.

Start reading: New to CarPCs? Don't know where to start?

If you choose to retain the headunit and the headunit has AUX IN, then you can feed the PC audio right to the headunit, where it would go out to whatever other audio hardware you have (pre-amp, EQ, crossovers, etc.)
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.
