I'm using Cygwin on windows. I had to install the ftdi driver [the one from scantool.net's website, IIRC].

So I will need two empty USB ports: one for OBD and one for the GPS, right?

By the way I assume 500K baud rate is OK?
The new OBDLinks default to 115200, which is plenty. The defaults of 38400 [older OBDLinks] and 9600 [OBDPro] also work fine. OBDGPSLogger has baudrate-upgrading code, but you probably won't find it's worth it.

    That's what I do, aye.
