Any ideas what codec was used when encoding this video? You say recorded from a pda, so is it a smart phone type thing, or an actual pda with camera built in (Windows Mobile 2003/2005, PalmOS?)

Right but, to repair the video, it is a frame by frame proccess. If the file is damaged, you must know the codec so you can manually tell it what to use to decode each non-damaged frame. Since it is damaged that information about what codec to use is not retrieveable.

hence why I asked. I have only done minor video repair, so I'll take a look, but I make no promises.

I tried with a few different programs, but there doesn't seem to be anything in the file. Maybe someone else will have more luck.
