I'd guess that Bryce is their most recognizable product. I know they pitch their DAZ|Studio product up against Poser, but Poser seems to lead the market by a large margin.
Just wondering if anyone has heard of or used Bryce. I was offered a job at Daz3D and was just wondering if their software is popular or not.
They have other software but I think Bryce might be the most famous? They bought it from Corel.

Cool, thanks for the info. I didn't realize it was so widely used. It looks like a few other Daz3D products are on there too.
Their offer was an alright offer. It is barely more than I'm making right now. I'm waiting to hear back from them about my counter offer.

What would you be doing there?
Bryce started as a Kai creation. (you remember Kias power goo? Power tools for photoshop?)
he made the wacky interface that Bryce is known for.
bryce is every middle/highschool/college kids dream app, you can make pretty sweet looking "pro" landscapes with minimal effort.
its only when you want something very specific and/or actually detailed, that it gets very powerful and complicated.
its rendering engine sucks IMO, but I believe its the only way to accomplish what it does.
Daz bought it, and sat on it. Finally they just released 6. Which is not very much faster in rendering than 5!

I'd be a programmer. One of the guys that originally worked on the Bryce engine would be my boss (I guess he moved over a while ago).
I know they are focusing a lot of their time on Daz Studio (which is free).
I still haven't heard back about my counter offer.

Speed up the rendering, because AFAIK it isnt multi-core aware....
Make the interface for the materials lab a bit more intuitive and labeled, as there are buttons and things that make no sense without prior knowledge or a manual.
Then get me a copy for free.
