Thread: Motorcycles and Riding

specifically, for sport bikes, it's the north west side of arkansas (also the north east side of Oklahoma and the southern side of Missouri).

It's sport bike heaven.

The roads are VERY well maintained, are extremely curvey, well marked, and banked. Not to mention there's MILES of twisties up there and it's BEAUTIFUL.

I have some video from this last trip that I'm going to try and pull off of my camera here in a few.

Unfortunatly I don't have a bike yet though, mainly cause I'm just trying to get by finnishing up college while paying for my car, and hopefully get my new carputer set up in... But even after that I've seen too many motorcycle accidents around here to even think about getting on one on this island. In a couple of years I'll prob. move off long island, and when I do... One of the first things I get will be a bike

Wow! well that was an iteresting thread. I'm glad to read your review on Hertz as I had never heard of them before. I am like you in that I dont like my tweets do be so bright. The tweets in my 06 Jetta are very bright and are a bit much for me. I will keep hertz in mind when i get around to replacing the stock speakers in my car.

I started out on a '96.

GREAT first bike. Wish I still had it actually. I'd love to take it out on the back roads now...

Yup, I'm born in a biker-family, so I can't stay behind. But I don't want to risk myself being in hospital after a day of thoughtless, unexperienced racing. The GS500 is 35.1Kw, and I need a bike that has at least 35Kw to get my licence, so this is perfect.

we're actually thinking about going down the street here and offering to buy a lady's GS500 off of her...she's ridden it all of 3 times. Wayyy too timid to think about riding...something you CANNOT be and expect to survive on a bike, especially in traffic.

You can buy mine after I finished my driving exam. I actually want a retro naked. Something along the lines of a late '70's honda cb650/750, BMW R75 or a triumph bonneville.
