    Good luck with her!
    thanks!

I've already shown her where the big litter boxes are, but she's so small that she can't get over the ledge we have up to keep the litter in the litter area...if that makes any sense.

She loves little fuzzy mice, even though they don't make any noise.

The deal about the scent glands might explain why she's so affectionate.

How about Shadow. It's all she sees and it fits her looks. Another posibility is Boo (She is a black cat)

Here is a link on raising a Blind cat. http://www.thedailymews.com/articles...thblindcat.htm

I have a blind dog and she has her own seeing eye dog for when she runs the fields near our house.

    From another forum earlier today:

    she has liver failure.
they are running the bloodwork right now to see how bad it is and if she can be saved at all.
she has always been a bit lethargic, but got a lot worse in the last day.
won't eat, drinnks some, just wants to sleep. came on suddenly.
i'll keep you all updated. NOT the birthday present I was looking for...
    she didn't make it.

by the time the bloodwork came back she was already 10x worse than when we got there. we couldn't stand to drag her out with tubes etc. she was so dehydrated that they had to give her the shot in the heart because they couldn't find a veign.

I don't remember the name of the virus that the vet said was the likley culpret. basically, her bone marrow wasn't producing any more red blood cells. because of that she was having trouble getting enough oxygen. this caused everything else to go into shutdown.
the vet said that she likley had this when we found her. could have been passed on from the mother or she could have gotten it while she was out on the street alone.
sorry to let everyone down. at least her last week was comfortable and she felt loved. we'll never forget her.

Sorry to hear about that. She was cute and you sure took good care of her. Happy Birthday otherwise, Jan.
