CF Bulbs everywhere possible.
Lower heating point for winter and higher cooling point for summer.
Automatic thermostat.
Ceiling fans.
Lower setting on hot water heater in summer, slightly raise in winter.
Full laundry load and dry at night (when cooler)
Handwash all dishes. (I have not even used my dishwasher once)
Plan out trips to save gas.
Recycle what the city takes.

Most of what I do is because I am frugal, but if it helps the environment that is good too.

Also I refuse to water my lawn. Let mother nature take care of it.

I tried LED lights once, and they all burned out fast. I think they still need to perfect those and lower the price a lot.

I have a Kill-A-Watt to determine how much power is being used and if things use power when off. Most newer wall chargers don't use much at all when not in use.

I use cloths instead of paper towels most of the time.

Have most online orders sent USPS instead of FedEx and UPS since the truck will come by here anyway.

You must live somewhere without a home owners association....

because around here you'll be fined for letting your lawn go...kinda stupid, but I can understand where they are coming from.

Nope, I have a HOA. They even pay for the lawn to be taken care of minus watering.

I run my car about 30 minutes to heat up in the brisk Florida winters so i dont have to freeze my little azz off from the door to my garage (i live upstairs (yes...made from cardboard), and i share my garage with the neighbors downstairs)...and i keep the garage door closed when the car remote-starts so that it will help heat up the neighbors house....see im not greedy...i like to share...sharing is healthy my therapist says.

I also...ahh forget it..

seriously though...i unplug everything in my house that im not using all the time (microwave, blender, toaster, cell phone charger)...i even unplug my power strip from the wall (the one for my projector, HTPC, Z5500's, PS2, Wii, Dreamcast) when i know im not gonna use it for a few days...

I just recently installed a programmable ac thermostat that is programmed to turn off at 4:30AM when i leave for work, and turn back on at 4:30PM..about 2 hours before i get home from work.

I do my laundry once a week, and run the dishwasher when im running low on dishes or having company over.

my water heater is set to go as hot as 120°F cause who the **** needs it at 140°F??? i sure as hell dont...i like the skin i have...i dont need raw skin all over my body...immagine going to a bar with all your skin peeling off like a lepur, trying to pick up some hottie....lol...i would never get laid...unless its some 80 year old cockeyed grandma who like the....i went a little too far on this one and probably even made scouse monkey cringe...lol

- Energy efficient bulbs
- Use only small desk lamps where I'm working instead of whole-room-lamps
- Throw on a sweater when cold, and not use the heaters
- I've always recycled, and have now gotten my new girlfriend to do it, too.
- Use cloth towels instead of paper towels whenever possible.
- I bicycle to work now, leaving my carpc unused during the week.

*sigh* now I need a BicyclePC... must pedal faster!...
