www.godaddy.com <- Cheap, easy, great service.
I want to register a domain name and park it for a while until i get a web site up. Low cost and a good privacy policy are primary concerns. Did a search and read until I was cross-eyed and didn't make any decisions. Any recommendations?

I second godaddy. I got 10 years for $60 bucks. Free parking. They give you free webmain if you sign up with their email as well...
I had all sorts of problems getting my server to work with them (all my fault), but I was on the phone with them in less than 2 minutes every time. They have great service/support...
I'm a ghost...email me if you have any questions on my old setup
My way outdated website: http://www.poboytech.net
FYI: I sold my 96 4Runner and bought a 1985
And a 3rd for godaddy, i have 20some domains registered with them as well as some registered elsewhere originally and transfered to them, and its all gone smoothly. The only thing that was a "gotcha" is that the domains automatically renew for another if your cc info is saved with them and vaild, as mine was. You can of course, turn this option on or off on a per domain basis for any/all of your domains, but I wanted to let a few die that I had registered for a friend and never got used, and now I have them for another year. So they're good, just a heads up on the autorenew (which is a good thing in most cases).

I can do both domain registration and hosting ... I run an ISP here in the UK specialising in hosting. IF anyone wants more details PM me.
