OKAY!!!!!!!!!
the correct answer is......
97/100 * 97/99 * 97/98 ....................... which equals.....
94.070604 %
about 94/100
WHY???
the TOP number doesn't change becasue there is always 3 tickets left that COULD win, but don't...
The bottom number goes down by 1 each time as there is 1 ticket drawn from the barrel...
Any questions???

no, I'm sorry, but the answer you just gave is incorrect. It assumes that the number of eligible tickets is constant, where it quite clearly is not. We can see this by analyzing each round.
in all rounds, we have 3 tickets.
in the first, there are our 3 tickets, plus 97 others eligible. the odds of winning are 3/100 (odds of losing: 97/100).
in the second, one ticket from the others is no longer eligible. so there are our 3 tickets plus 96 others. odds of winning are 3/99 (odds of not winning the second round are therefore 96/99)
third round is our 3 plus 95 others. to win: 3/98, to lose: 95/98.
The numerators of each round must add up to the denominator, otherwise you end up with more than 1, which makes no sense probabilistically.
I stand by the previous answer given by posters here.
Edit: wrote 98 when I meant 95.

If there are always 3 tickets in the barrel that could win, and the number of tickets goes down, then the top number should be the bottom number minus the 3 tickets that could win, ie, the top number goes down too.
