    thinking about xenon conversion

hey all, ive been looking around trying to find a good hid kit to convert my car to xenon but am not sure how to judge between the brands. i see they all look pretty much the same and a lot offer warranty. should i bother paying a few hundred for a kit or just go with something like this hid kit

    thanks in advance :P

Ive done a full HID retrofit on my car. I didnt jsut install bulbs/ballasts, i completely reworked my headlamps to encorporate hid projectors. Thats the most effective way to implement HID in your car. Putting a HID bulb in a halogen housing is not a good idea because the focal points of the bulbs can differ greatly causing reduced light and flare (those rings you sometimes see coming out of headlights that blind you). If you are really interested in this, check out HIDplanet.com forums for a lot of really great information.

    Retrofit or nothing.

If you just plug in a HID kit, you will blind everyone. And they look like ****. You wont get a nice cutoff. You wont get any cutoff.

have a look on ebay for projector headlamps for your vehicle. i know for durangos and dakotas theres a set being sold that are projectors. like they said before if you plug in HID bulbs into your stock headlamps it will look like crap.
