Kinda weird posting in the Newb seciton

Test post..Do I need a moderator approval to post in this section?

    No..ok then.

Why do I need moderator approval in the "Newb" section???

This seems quite the opposite of how things should be organized. I mean, the new guys should be limited to the new section right? Not have their posts take days to show up there..and only there.

This discourages proper use of the message boards. New users may be inclined to ask questions elsewhere to avoid waiting precious days for their posts to be approved.

Ah, that must be why. I listed the parts I am thinking about buying for my system, and asked for constructive criticism.

Hopefully it will be approved soooon!

Usually it is either link or certain words/phrases that cause a post to be moderated. Also having under 5 posts is another thing that may cause your post to be moderated.

Don't feel like you are being picked on, I have had to approve a post by a senior member with over 3000 posts and the other week I had to approve a post of another moderator.

    Unhappy

This system is one of the worst I have ever seen very unfriendly to new members Oh well I can read I guess. I wont bother trying to post anymore too much trouble to wait for a post to show also old news by the time approved. Wouldn't be an issue if it was approved or not quickly.

Thanks for the reply I actually tried posting earlier today & there was no link I basicly just said I had good luck buying a product that was being talked about. I am a mod & admin on other boards so I do understand security. I registered because I received some helpful info from searching thru post while trying to figure out which OBDII scanner to buy.

these keep coming through so something is going on.

I dont moderate posts, so I dunno.

But since this is a CarPC forum and not a medical emergency forum, chances are your problem isnt mission critical enough that a 1 day wait would kill you.
