How to fix a thick scratch on car glass?

Never buy an ice scraper with a plastic head on a metal tube.

Stupid cheap ice scraper head fell off the metal tube handle today when I was scraping ice off my windshield. So the metal handle basically left a 4 inch scratch on the glass. Not very deep though, but its thick.

Anyone have any ideas how to cover it up a bit? I have this leftover epoxy stuff bought on ebay used to fix windshield cracks so maybe I can smear a little bit of this stuff on the scratch? Dont know if that will work or not. Other ideas welcome.

    Fix - a - chip

If the nail polish doesn't work for you, maybe you have a local mobile fix-a-chip guy. Ours has an ad in Easy-Ad (free ad magazine) and does a good job with chips. The scratch may be beyond what he can do. The price is reasonable.
