Look Lovecraft, your first response to this was "Ahahahaha. You actually believe this?"
Forgive me if I don't flock to your way of thinking after that very persuasive argument.

Your "actual criticisms" are that it takes electricity to produce the hydroxy gas, correct?

Now, I don't own one, but I'm pretty sure that a Prius's hybrid motor runs off electricity. Where does that electricity come from?
    Debt as of 1/1/05: $34,354.48
Debt as of July 4, 2007: $0.00 explanation
Total spent on wedding so far: $3885.79
Thanks to everyone for your support.

Some people have a hard time thinking out of the box. Awhile back, I was talking about suplimental wind created electricity on an electric car. What was everyone's first response? "Didn't you take high school physics? A windmill on a car creates more drag than the electricity it creates! Ahahahaha....what a moron. Look at this guy!"

But what they failed to see was that every surface, even a razor blade on it's edge has some drag coeffecient. Now, take some surface that already has drag, say hood, grill, between windshield and roof, and put in a compression tunnel, add a wind turbine on it's side INSIDE this tunnel. or even a series of turbines. Now you haven't increased drag, and you have an electric generator running faster than the car (through compression), and voila! You have suplimental electricity through a wind generator WITHOUT creating more drag. You may not be able to run the car "perpetually". but you will be able to go further than you could without it.

Arrogance isn't always your friend. And suplimental is suplimental even if it only increases effeciency by .000001%.
    My opinion is my own.

Get used to people laughing if you pursue and install this system in a vehicle and expect it to do anything measurable.

Your "actual criticisms" are that it takes electricity to produce the hydroxy gas, correct?
Well, yeah, that and the FACT that you can't produce enough hydrogen via electrolysis using your car's electrical system to actually DO anything. This idea is a fraud. Go ahead and do your own electrolysis experiment and see how much hydrogen you can produce this way. It's EXTREMELY inefficient and low-volume, you'll see.

I've actually criticized the idea presented here, and you guys then attack the words I used without addressing the arguments or even backing up your own statements.

Now, I don't own one, but I'm pretty sure that a Prius's hybrid motor runs off electricity. Where does that electricity come from?
From a highly optimized and efficient gasoline engine burning fossil fuels that charges a bank of batteries. The batteries then run the electric motor for short (7-8 miles only) electric-only runs, or mostly as a sort of electric assist to the gas engine. What does this have to do with installing a hydrogen production system in a car?

You do realize, don't you (probably not) that you'll get a greater increase in efficiency from increasing your tire pressures 1-2 PSI, right? Or that your .000001% is meaningless. Even 1-2% is probably statistically meaningless.

At least I can spell supplemental and efficiency.

I'd rather be arrogant than ignorant.

I think the best way of this working is an at home electrolysis separation. So like a mini hydrogen station in your home.
You have it always making hydrogen so you can fill up whenever you are home.

It would be nice though if we were using wind/solar/nuclear to produce the electricity though.

ok i didnt even read ANY of the responces to this thread cause i can tell you that this is EXACTLY what one of my current projects is i really dont need to read any of the projects cause im doing thin in my house and im building kits for it very soon, in my work log you will find some information VERY soon just youtube search hho thats the gas that is made its two parts hydrogen one part water, they also call is browns gas (the inventor ) or hydroxy it is 6X more flamable than gas and REALLY works its no gimic i have a few fuel cells myself its seriouse ****, imagine if th egoveerment gave us all these "kits" instead of a stimulus check wed be getting twice the gas millage (no **** its what i get) jsut search youtube the stuff is real!

just read all the posts and its funny that people critizie without doing research this has been a reality since the 70's but people keep getting killed over it SERIOUSLY youtube it youll be VERY surprised how well it REALLY works

ohh yeah REMINDER its not jsut hydrogen you have to realize its HHO or hydroxy or browns gas, also search Stanley Meyer tubes on youtube for one of the most efficant designs todate
i was a HUGE skeptic till i started building my own

enjoy being a dork and doing things the rest of the world has given up on, keep on keeping on trying to make the world a better place with hydroxy fueld cars managed by carputers

sorry for the tripple post im a bit buzzed after 3rd place at trivia night

    Oh for the luva......................

HHO..................Hydroxy..............brown's gas............oxyhydrogen.............call it what ever you want.

If it's loose and gaseous, it's just hydrogen and oxygen.

    If it's a molecule and it's HHO, then it's H20.

This "hydroxy" crap is just that, crap. someone trying to hang a name on something that already exists.

It also requires more energy to break down the molecule - water - with electrolosis that can be extracted from the "combustion" of the elements itself.

A pure stoichiometric mixture is most easily obtained by water electrolysis, which uses an electric current to dissociate the water molecules:

    electrolysis: 2 H2O → 2 H2 + O2
    combustion: 2 H2 + O2 → 2 H2O
The energy required to generate the oxyhydrogen, brown's gas, hydroxy, whatever bullcrap name you want to hang on it, always exceeds the energy released by combusting it. (Google Electrolysis of water:Efficiency).
