Your going to need a new AV Reciever with component video switching. I had the same problem with my Mitsu HDTV.
Hey,
I've got an HD TV at home, the problem is that it only has 2 component video inputs (HD) and my 5.1 reciever only has a single optical in.
Do they make some kind of A/V switching device (like those i've seen for standard RCA a/v connections) that will allow me to select between HD devices? Because I'm about to have 3+ devices that I'd like to have surround sound and High Def, but I can't connect them to the TV.
I figure I could make my own video selector, but I don't know how to create an optical signal.
is there a retail solution?

Stereo:Alpine IVA-D900 Head Unit | Alpine PXA-H510 DSP | Boston Pro Component Speakers Upfront | Boston Rally Rear Speakers | 2 Polk 10" Subs in the Trunk | Phoenix Gold Ti900.7 Amp
so no standalone A/V switchers like they sell at radioshack? Your purchased one? Do you remember who makes it, or do you have a product link?

thanks, seems as if the reasonable ones that do composite video and optical are prohibitively expensive. I'll probably have to buy a new reciever that has that capability built in.
